EPV Energy Whistleblow channel

A sustainable and ethical way to operate is the base of our business, which is visible in EPVs operations, way of thinking and leadership. We want to operate openly, responsibly and following ethical principles. We monitor the performance in ethical principles every day.

We have a Whistleblowing- channel in use. Through the channel we offer our employees, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to report about possible malpractice.

You can use the channel to report suspicions or observations of malpractice and/or business practices that are not according to our code of conduct or sustainable and ethical business practices.

The channel is designed for reporting of malpractices and unethical business practices. In other disagreements or problem situation we encourage you to primarily contact the person in charge within EPV. In this is not possible for some reason, a manager, person of administration or HR can function as a contact person.

We take all suspicions of misconduct seriously and encourage them to be brought to our attention whenever there are grounds for doing so. All notifications are handled confidentially and impartially by the Whistleblowing team of EPV Energy.

What can I report in the Whistleblow channel?

• Conflict of interest and bribes
• Violation of human rights
• Violations of regulation and laws
• Violations related to public projects and procurement
• Corruption
• Fraud
• Financial misdemenaour
• Environmental violations

You can file a report with your own name or anonymously. You do not necessarily need proof of your suspicion, but the report must be done sincerly and in good faith. Consciously leaving false reports through the channel is prohibited and may result in legal action.

The reporter is safe from countermeasures as required by law. In other words, the reporter will not recieve any consequences from reporting.

The Whistleblow -channel is managed by an external service provider. The server is encrypted, and password protected. Metadata is not saved, and IP-addresses cannot be traced. An anonymous reporter is therefore impossible to trace. When leaving a report, the reporter is given a username and password. The reporter can use this information to log in to the platform later on and read the answers from the Whistleblow -team and send them messages.

The use of personal data in the Whistleblow channel is based on EPV Energy legitimate interest, legal obligation and/or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. For more information on data collection and processing, see EPV Energy’s Privacy Policy.

In situations under the Act on the Protection of Persons Reporting Infringements of European Union and National Law (1171/2022), we will inform the person of the reason for the restriction of the right and the information may be provided to the Data Protection representative at his or her request.

The reports can be made in Finnish, Swedish or English. Reports made in other languages cannot be processed.

If you make the report anonymously, you receive an username and password. Save them in a safe spot, so that you can follow the process of your report. The reporting can also be made with your personal information. In that case we may contact you directly.
