Soil studies are being conducted at EPV Aurinkovoima’s Heinineva solar power plant as part of the AurinkoSuo project. The purpose of the studies is to collect information on, among other things, emissions from peat soil and the development of vegetation in the power plant environment. EPV Alueverkko is replacing 50 creosote-treated pole bases on transmission lines in the South Ostrobothnia region as part of EPV Energy’s biodiversity action programme. The new poles, treated with copper oil and salt preservatives, help minimise harmful effects on the local environment.
