Markku Vartia appointed the new Director of Co-owned Power Generation at EPV Energy

Markku Vartia has been appointed as EPV Energy’s Director of Co-owned Power Generation as of the 1st of March 2024. His main areas of responsibility are the company’s nuclear and hydropower assets. In practice, this means actively working with EPV’s affiliated companies Pohjolan Voima, Teollisuuden Voima and Voimapiha.

Vartia has had a long, illustrious career in the energy sector, working for the last 20 years at Vantaa Energy in various management positions, most recently as Director of Electricity Business. He has also been a member of EPV Energy’s Board of Directors since 2009.
